Federal Regulations

 

The Rural Health Information Hub offers an online service, the Federal Register Newswhich provides summaries of rural health related Federal Register notices from the past 90 days. These notices include updates on relevant policies and links to the full text of rules. 

 

State Regulations

 

The State Code of Regulations for the Rural Health Clinic Program is found in the rules of the Department of Social Services: Division 70, Division of Medical Services, Chapter 94, Rural Health Clinic Program. Information on proposed rule changes can be found in the Missouri Register

Missouri Prompt Pay Law 

Missouri law requires insurers to pay or deny claims within 45 processing days of receiving them. Plans that fail to meet this timetable owe the claimant interest and a penalty. You can view the full text of Missouri's prompt pay law here.

MARHC has developed a guide explaining the prompt pay law and outlining steps clinics can take to address delayed payments.  Members can access the resource guide here

Legislative Teleconferences

 

During the Missouri General Assembly's session, MARHC hosts legislative update conference calls every three weeks, presented by David Winton with Penman & Winton Consulting Group - MARHC's professional representation in the Missouri Capitol. 

 

All current MARHC members are invited to participate in the updates, which include information on legislative proposals that may affect rural health clinics.
